Combining the lightweight comfort of a hiking boot with the wet traction and support of a wading boot, Carbon will help you find your own fishing. Innovative and exclusive tri-tiered, stair-step, lug pattern we developed with Vibram® provides solid footing across a range of terrain. Rockered, dual-density EVA midsoles offer additional cushion and feel to reduce fatigue and improve footing on hikes, while Figure-8 ESS rock plates give you superior protection and torsional stability when wading uneven rivers. “Burrito-wrap” tongue locks your foot into place improving contact with the boot and reducing heel slippage. Molded toecap protects your feet from rocks and other obstacles. Bonded seams, double lasting, and TPU reinforced uppers give Carbon boots the added bomber durability wading boots need to withstand the rigors of serious wading. If you find fish with your legs and need a wading boot that can keep up season after season, we built the Carbon Boot for you.

Purchased with the Carbon waders (see separate review). Wore them the 1st time when fishing the upper Farmington on July 28th. Purposely did not install studs to evaluate performance. Started out fishing the run below Hitchcock Chair - slippery rocks/cobble were difficult to navigate in the faster water. Fished the Beaver Pool later that afternoon & into the evening - did not have any issues. The light weight made it easier to climb down & up the steep bank as well as step over branches in the water.
The boots were comfortable. I am not used to the flat lacing system - if I don’t keep tension before tying, they slip out. I had the BOA system on my old boots (high maintenance). My old boots were a size 11 as is my Oboz shoe size. Needed a size 12 for the Carbon waders. With studs, the boots should perform well.
Can’t wait to try them in the salt when we fish all day & into the night.
