Umpqua’s “Super Jig” hook, the XC400BL-BN features a 60-degree vertical eye bend combined with a carefully curated wide gap to optimize hooking ability. Designed for tyers seeking the perfect hook for a wide variety of jig-style tactical nymphs, the XC400BL-BN pairs well with standard tungsten slotted beads, but it also works well with Umpqua’s Jig Bomb beads when you want to maximize the available shank length of your hook. The extended barbless needle point rides point up in the water to avoid snags and maintain sharpness.
