This pattern is tied to specification just as the classic Deer Hair Diver, but has a rabbit strip tail with some flash instead of feathers. This gives the fly a little more “swimming” motion than its predecessor.
The spun deer hair head is trimmed to shape with a nice diving head and stiff collar to get it under the surface fast. The hair is reinforced with head cement for optimal durability and a loop weed guard is then added to keep the fly from snagging into foliage.
This fly comes in size #4 only and three color options.
