These ultra-light poppers, after about 10 years of testing and improving, are best surface-popping minnow and bug design Dave’s ever created. Only his deer hair bugs come close to their fish production.
They are the lightest, least wind resistant, surface poppers on the market. They can be cast easily with four and five weight rods and are a sheer joy on conventional 6 & 7 weights. The light-wire, ultra-sharp hooks allow bass to be easily hooked with softer rods and 3X tippet leaders using conventional trout strikes. They have unique and good-looking eye appeal to fly fishers and fish. The mouth color provides easy tracking in all light conditions. Because of the feather-like weight and special double nylon snag-guards, they are amazingly snag-up proof even over lilies and algae and very durable with epoxy/enamel coating. The unique UL Air-Jet head is made from a lighter Styrofoam blank which has a hollow or tube center. They have an incredible realistic paint job adding all kinds of detail and attraction to the popper.
