The Coastal Crabber was designed, tested, fussed-over and perfected in conjunction with one of the most dedicated striper anglers on the planet: RIO Ambassador Joe Webster. Joe once fished over 1,000 days consecutively – and many of those days were spent targeting trophy, green crab-eating striped bass on the beaches of New England. The Coastal Crabber’s fast-sinking head lets you present crab flies realistically, anchoring them to the sand and crawling them up the beach. The line is built on a low-stretch core for increased sensitivity and more powerful hooksets into the tough mouths of big stripers. Even the line's coating was selected specifically for this technique, with its slightly harder formulation for improved durability when dragging through sand and rocks.
